CM Bhagwant Mann to Lead Panel for 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will head a Group of Ministers (GoM) tasked with ensuring the smooth and dignified conduct of events marking the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji.

The decision was made during a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister at his official residence on Wednesday. Mann emphasized the significance of Guru Teg Bahadur’s supreme sacrifice, noting that he laid down his life to uphold the fundamental right to religious freedom and to defend human and secular values.

Calling the Guru’s martyrdom "unique and unparalleled in the history of mankind," Mann said the occasion would be observed on a grand scale throughout the state. He affirmed the state government’s commitment to organizing a series of commemorative events and ensuring the development of historic sites associated with the Guru.

Special functions will be held across Punjab to honor Guru Teg Bahadur’s legacy, and efforts will be made to preserve and highlight places where the Guru visited or left his mark.
