Khanna Police Crack Murder Case of 16-Year-Old Girl; Accused Arrested

Khanna police have solved the murder case of a 16-year-old girl whose naked body was discovered near the railway tracks in Alaud village. The victim, a resident of Iqbal Nagar in Mandi Gobindgarh, had been missing since the evening of March 11. Her body was found on March 13, prompting an investigation. Authorities have arrested 26-year-old Sanjeet Kumar, also from Mandi Gobindgarh. The victim’s identity was confirmed after police circulated her image. Investigations revealed that she had a brief relationship with Sanjeet, who worked as a mason. Khanna Sadar SHO Sukhwinderpal Singh confirmed the arrest, stating that the accused confessed to strangling the girl and inflicting severe head injuries.
