Kejriwal Announces New Industrial Policy for Fast-Track Project Approvals
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced that the Punjab government would soon introduce a new industrial policy aimed at accelerating project approvals and driving rapid economic growth in the state.
Industry Leaders Invited to Shape Policy
Kejriwal urged business leaders to actively participate in the policy formulation process to ensure that the upcoming framework is exceptional and free from the shortcomings of the 2022 industrial policy.
“We are entrusting you with the responsibility to involve every sector in shaping this policy. It must be innovative and driven by out-of-the-box thinking. Sit together, bring forward your valuable suggestions, and we will serve you better,” he told industrialists during a meeting.
Fast-Track Approvals in 45 Days
Recognizing bureaucratic delays, Kejriwal acknowledged that project files often get stuck in offices, leading to unnecessary delays. However, he assured that under the new policy, every new industrial project will receive clearance within 45 days.
The initiative aims to create a business-friendly environment, streamline approvals, and position Punjab as a key industrial hub.
