Kejriwal to Attend 10-Day Vipassana Session in Punjab
AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal is set to visit Punjab for the next 10 days. He will arrive in Hoshiarpur on Tuesday to participate in a Vipassana meditation session. This marks his second Vipassana retreat at the Dhamma Dhaja Vipassana Centre, having attended a similar 10-day course in December 2023.
Maur Mandi Residents Protest Poor Sanitary Conditions
Maur Mandi: Frustrated by poor sewerage and sanitation in the area, residents and traders of Maur Mandi staged a protest on Monday by shutting down all business establishments. The demonstration saw participation from Congress leaders, members of the arhtiya association, farmer unions, and the pesticide union. Protesters gathered in the affected areas to demand urgent improvements.
Development Plans for Fazilka Wetlands
Fazilka: Efforts to develop wetlands in Fazilka district have gained momentum, with the panchayats of eight out of 14 wetlands approving development projects in their respective areas. Additional Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Kaur confirmed that the wetlands set for development include Raipura, Khubban, Narayanpura, Churi Wala Dhanna, Saidan Wali, Danewala Satkosi, Rajpura, and Jamalgarh.
