Jalandhar-Based Pastor Bajinder Singh Convicted in 2018 Sexual Harassment Case
A Mohali court has found Pastor Bajinder Singh, popularly known as the 'Yeshu Yeshu prophet,' guilty in a 2018 sexual harassment case. The sentence will be announced on April 1.
The case was filed by a woman from Zirakpur, who accused Singh of sexually assaulting her under the false promise of taking her abroad. According to the complaint, he also recorded an obscene video of her without consent.
An FIR was lodged on April 20, 2018, at the Zirakpur police station under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act. In addition to Bajinder Singh, five others — Pastor Jatinder, Pastor Akbar, Sattar Ali, and Sandeep Pehelwan — were also named in the case.
