The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for Delhi in response to the abrupt change in weather. Reports of waterlogging and fallen trees came in from various parts of the capital.
Tragically, the downpour turned fatal in Delhi’s Najafgarh area, where a house collapsed due to heavy rain. Four people, including three children and a woman, lost their lives, according to officials.
