At Least 31 Dead in Tragic Bus Crash in Bolivia
At least 31 people have lost their lives in a devastating bus crash in Bolivia, according to local police.
The accident occurred in the southwestern region of Yocalla, where the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The bus plunged over 2,600 feet (800 meters) down a steep precipice, resulting in numerous fatalities and injuries.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, transporting 14 injured passengers—10 adults and four children—to the hospital. Several of them are currently in intensive care, a healthcare official confirmed.
Authorities believe the mountainous route, known for its sharp twists and turns, may have played a role in the crash. Police also suggested that excessive speed could have been a contributing factor.
An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
