Chaos Erupts in Serbian Parliament as MPs Hurl Smoke Grenades

At least three Serbian MPs were injured on Tuesday after opposition members detonated smoke grenades during a heated session in the country’s parliament.

Live television footage captured the chaotic scenes as politicians clashed with security personnel and unleashed tear gas inside the chamber. The dramatic protest appeared to be in solidarity with student demonstrators, who have been rallying for months against the government.

The unrest was initially sparked by the collapse of a railway station roof four months ago, an incident that claimed 15 lives. However, the movement has since evolved into a broader push against the ruling administration, posing its biggest challenge yet.

Among the injured MPs, one suffered a stroke and remains in critical condition, according to the parliamentary speaker. A banner reading "Serbia is rising up for the regime to fall" was prominently displayed on the floor of the chamber as tensions escalated.
