Punjab Police Arrest Two Key Members of Pavittar Chaura Gang, Seize Weapons

The Punjab Police have arrested two key members of the Pavittar Chaura gang and recovered four pistols and ammunition from their possession.

The arrests were carried out by AIG (Counter-Intelligence) Sukhminder Singh Mann from an undisclosed location in Batala police district.

Arrested Gang Members and Seized Weapons

The suspects have been identified as:

  • Kanwalpreet Singh, alias Kanwar (resident of Buttar Kalan village, Batala police district)
  • Ranjit Singh (resident of Gurdaspur police district)

The police recovered a cache of weapons, including:

  • One 9mm Glock pistol
  • One .30 bore pistol
  • Two .32 bore pistols
  • Four magazines
  • 39 cartridges

Gang’s Links to Pavittar Singh Chaura

According to the police, both arrested individuals were in regular contact with Pavittar Singh Chaura originally from Chaura village in Batala police district.

They were allegedly executing criminal activities in Punjab under Chaura’s instructions. The seized firearms were intended for distribution among criminals operating in the Majha region.
