Manish Sisodia Meets CM Bhagwant Mann, Vows to Fast-Track Punjab’s Progress

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and newly appointed Punjab in-charge, Manish Sisodia, met Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday evening at the CM’s residence. The two leaders held discussions on key issues concerning governance, ongoing development projects, and the party’s vision for the state.

Sisodia, who arrived in Chandigarh on Sunday evening, was warmly welcomed by AAP workers and leaders. Speaking to the media at the airport, he lauded the achievements of the AAP-led Punjab government over the past three years and reiterated the party’s commitment to tackling the drug crisis, speeding up development, and fulfilling electoral promises.

Expressing gratitude to AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal for entrusting him with the responsibility of overseeing Punjab, Sisodia acknowledged the strides made under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s leadership. He praised the Mann government for cleaning up the legacy of mismanagement left by previous regimes and setting Punjab on a path of transformation.

“Punjab has seen in one month what previous governments couldn’t deliver in decades,” Sisodia stated. He commended the state government’s aggressive efforts to combat the drug menace and underscored that creating a drug-free Punjab remains a top priority. “We are already seeing results. The pace and seriousness with which the issue is being addressed is commendable,” he said.

Highlighting progress in sectors like education, healthcare, and employment, Sisodia said the surge in policy implementation and rapid decision-making reflects the government’s strong commitment to public welfare.

“As the in-charge of Punjab, I am responsible for ensuring that every promise made by Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann is honored,” he affirmed. “The people of Punjab deserve clean, transparent, and accountable governance—and that’s exactly what AAP will continue to deliver.”

He reassured citizens that the government's focus will remain on strengthening infrastructure, improving education and healthcare, eliminating corruption, and creating a safe and drug-free environment for all.
