Diddy Accused of Kidnapping Ex-Aide in Plot to Kill Kid Cudi, Trial Reveals
Former employee testifies that music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs forced her to participate in a violent scheme targeting rapper Kid Cudi over a romantic rivalry.Sean "Diddy" Combs, the 55-year-old hip-hop mogul, is facing explosive allegations in his federal trial, where a former aide testified he once kidnapped her at gunpoint and took her to rapper Kid Cudi's home as part of a plan to kill him.
Capricorn Clark, who worked intermittently for Combs over more than ten years, told the court the harrowing story of a 2011 incident that began when Combs discovered his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, was romantically involved with Kid Cudi, whose legal name is Scott Mescudi.
According to Clark's testimony, Combs and a security guard arrived unannounced at her apartment, where he allegedly brandished a firearm and ordered her to come with them.
“Get dressed,” she recalled him saying. “We’re going to go kill this [expletive].”
Clark stated that Combs forced her into a car and drove to Mescudi’s residence. Once there, she said Combs and the security guard entered the property while she remained in the car and called Ventura to warn her.
When Combs returned and caught Clark on the phone, she said his rage intensified. They left quickly as Mescudi returned home. Clark told the court that Combs later threatened her, saying he would not let her go unless she and Ventura convinced Mescudi that Combs had no role in the break-in.
“If you don’t convince him of that, I’ll kill all you,” he allegedly warned her.
These new claims add to the growing list of serious accusations against Combs, who has pleaded not guilty to federal charges including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
Kid Cudi himself testified earlier in the trial, detailing the break-in at his Los Angeles home and the firebombing of his Porsche, which he suspects Combs orchestrated.
In court, Clark also described her volatile working relationship with Combs. On her first day as global brand director at his label, Bad Boy Entertainment, she said he threatened to kill her if her prior work with other artists created problems for him.
Despite years of alleged abuse and manipulation, Clark said she stayed in Combs’ orbit due to a complex mixture of loyalty, ambition, and admiration.
“He broke the ceiling of what we were allowed to do as Black people in the business world,” she told the jury.
Combs is also facing multiple civil lawsuits involving similar allegations, though he has denied all wrongdoing in those cases.
The trial continues.
