Mohali Court Issues Non-Bailable Warrant Against Jalandhar Pastor Bajinder Singh in 2018 Rape Case
Amid an ongoing investigation into sexual harassment allegations against Jalandhar-based Pastor Bajinder Singh in Kapurthala, a Mohali court has issued a non-bailable warrant against him in connection with a previous 2018 rape case.
The warrant was issued on Monday (March 3) by Additional District and Sessions Judge (ASJ) Harsimranjit Singh after the pastor failed to appear before the court. Despite being given time until 4:30 pm, he did not show up, prompting the judge to direct him to be present at the next hearing on March 18.
2018 Rape Allegation and FIR Details
The 2018 case involves a rape complaint filed by a Zirakpur-based woman, who accused Pastor Bajinder Singh of establishing non-consensual relations with her under the false promise of taking her abroad. She further alleged that he recorded an obscene video of her.
Following her complaint, an FIR was registered on April 20, 2018, at the Zirakpur police station under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology (IT) Act.
Apart from Bajinder Singh, five others were also booked in the case:
- Pastor Jatinder
- Pastor Akbar
- Sattar Ali
- Sandeep Pehelwan
With fresh allegations and legal proceedings unfolding, the case against the pastor continues to intensify.
